Common Issues & Solutions

Below are the most frequently reported issues and their recommended solutions.

Can't create OKRs

Problem: You're unable to create new objectives or key results.

Solution: Check your user role under Settings > Profile. Only users with the Admin, Manager, or Member role can create OKRs. If you are a Viewer, ask a workspace admin to upgrade your role. Also verify you have not exceeded the objective limit on the Free plan (3 per user).

Check-in not saving

Problem: Your check-in submission fails or changes are not persisted.

Solution: Verify that you are the owner of the key result you're checking in on. Only key result owners and workspace admins can submit check-ins. Also ensure the value you enter is within the defined range (start value to target value). If the issue persists, try refreshing the page and submitting again.

Integration not connecting

Problem: Slack or Google Calendar integration fails during the authorization flow.

Solution: Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try the connection again. If using a corporate browser, check that pop-ups are not blocked. Ensure you have admin permissions in the target Slack workspace or Google account. If the issue persists, disconnect the integration from Settings > Integrations and re-authorize from scratch.

AI tokens depleted

Problem: The AI Co-Author feature is unavailable or shows a token limit message.

Solution: Check your remaining token balance under Settings > Billing > AI Usage. Tokens reset on the first day of each billing cycle. If you need more tokens immediately, upgrading your plan provides the higher tier's allowance right away. See the Billing & Plans page for details.

Page loading slowly

Problem: Pages take a long time to load or feel unresponsive.

Solution: Clear your browser cache and check your internet connection. Try disabling browser extensions that might interfere with the application. If the issue is limited to specific pages (such as dashboards with many OKRs), try applying filters to reduce the data being loaded. Check our status page for any ongoing incidents.

Forgot password

Problem: You cannot sign in because you forgot your password.

Solution: Click the "Forgot password?" link on the login page. Enter the email address associated with your account and you will receive a password reset link via email. The link expires after 24 hours. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support.

Email verification issues

Problem: You haven't received the verification email or it has expired.

Solution: Check your spam or junk folder first. If the email is not there, go to the login page and click "Resend verification email." Make sure you are checking the correct email address. Verification links expire after 48 hours. If problems persist, contact support@leemu.io with your account email.

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often.

How many OKRs should I create?

We recommend 3 to 5 objectives per quarter for each individual or team. Each objective should have 2 to 4 key results. This keeps focus sharp and ensures meaningful progress. Having too many OKRs dilutes effort and makes it harder to track what matters most.

Can I change key result targets mid-cycle?

Yes, it is possible to edit key result targets after creation. However, we do not recommend changing targets mid-cycle unless circumstances have significantly changed (e.g., a major strategy shift). Changing targets can undermine the integrity of progress tracking. If you do adjust, Leemu logs the change in the key result's history for transparency.

How is progress calculated?

Objective progress is calculated as the weighted average of its key results' completion percentages. Each key result's progress is determined by its current value relative to the start and target values: ((current - start) / (target - start)) x 100. You can adjust key result weights under the objective settings if certain results should carry more importance.

What happens when I archive an OKR?

Archived objectives are hidden from active dashboard views, team views, and reports by default. However, all data is fully preserved, including check-in history, comments, and progress snapshots. You can view archived OKRs by toggling the "Show archived" filter. Archived OKRs can be restored to active status at any time.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Navigate to Settings > Data Export to generate exports of your objectives, key results, check-ins, and more. Exports are available in CSV and JSON formats. You can filter by date range and team. See the Settings documentation for detailed export instructions.

What browsers are supported?

Leemu supports all modern browsers, including the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser up to date for the best experience. Internet Explorer is not supported.

Is my data secure?
